7th International Conference on Traffic and Transport Psychology (ICTTP)

The theme of the conference is Taking the Vision Zero Initiative into a New Era.

The conference is organized by the Swedish National Road and Transport Research Institute (VTI) in conjunction with the Vehicle and Traffic Safety Centre at Chalmers (SAFER).

Keynote speakers of the conference are Professor Emeritus Icek Ajzen and Dr Judy Fleiter. 

There will also be a panel discussion on automated vehicles. Professor Natasha Merat will focus on the new role for drivers and Professor Graham Parkhurst on whether automated vehicles will reduce the negative social and environmental consequences of road transport.

Furthermore, there will be a one-day pre-conference workshop held by Professor Emeritus Icek Ajzen.

A technical visit to VTI’s simulator facilities is planned as well as social events in the form of a welcome reception and a conference dinner in an old harbour warehouse from 1885.

The ICTTP Scientific Committee welcomes abstracts within the following topics:

  • Transportation psychology and research methods
  • Human and environmental interaction and design
  • Road user behaviour
  • Prediction of road user behaviour
  • Behavioural change
  • Driver state and impaired driving
  • Sustainable mobility
  • Vulnerable road users
  • Human Driver performance
  • Autonomous vehicles and new roles for driver and other road users
  • Miscellaneous/other

Special sessions are possible for e.g. EU projects, organisations/professional bodies.

The authors of the top ten presentations will be invited to submit full papers to a Special Issue of Transportation Research Part F: Traffic Psychology and Behaviour. All accepted abstracts will be published digitally on the conference webpage.

The deadline for Abstracts is extended until january 13th.
