Annual Meeting of the Belgian Association for Psychological Sciences

The Annual Meeting of the Belgian Association for Psychological Sciences will take place this year on the 26th and 27th May 2020, at UCLouvain 

The main conference will be on the 27th May 2020.




The Keynote is Elena Grigorenko (University of Houston, USA), Language development: Views on its typical and atypical trajectories

There will be 7 Invited Symposia (cross discipline) 

  • Psychosocial development in adolescence
  • Thinking gender in psychology outside the men/women comparison paradigm
  • Memoirs of a memory: From neurons to collective
  • The brain in development
  • Multidimensional aspects of couple
  • Mindfulness-based interventions for vulnerable populations
  • Digital health: Opportunities and challenges

On the 26th, there will be a pre-conference afternoon aimed at young researchers. The afternoon will consist of three workshops:

  • Pitch your research: Skills in communicating research
  • New trends in open science
  • Well-being in research



The BAPS2020 organisation committee invite submissions for:

  • Symposia (consisting of 3-4 speakers)
  • Abstracts for Open Session oral presentations
  • Abstracts for Poster presentations


The deadline is the 10th February 2020 (12 noon).

martin.edwards(at) The proposal should consist of two organisers (from different institutions), a symposium title, 3-4 speakers and their presentation titles. We look for at least 7 additional symposia, with the objective to balance symposia across domains.
